- (ABPI Test ) Ankle Brachial Pressure Index in clinic

  The ABPI test takes the pressure index in the arms, and divides it by the pressure in the legs. This result will show us whether a patient has any arterial issues/blockages, and if they are able to be compressed.
- Compression fitting in clinic

  We offer compression socks in a variety of styles and colours to suit all tastes. We measure both legs (including ankles, calves, height, etc.) to ensure an accurate fit for each individual.
  
  IMPORTANT - Measurements should be done in the morning as legs swell in the later part of the day, potentially causing the compressions stockings to be ill fitting.

  Appointment by a nurse includes:
  - An assessment of your feet and lower legs; reduction of dry, cracked, rough skin.
  - Cutting and filing of toe nails, removal of corns and callous.
  - Disinfecting with Gehwol Lotion and application of a Gehwol cream.
  
  Please bring a pair of clean socks.

  The Nurse will provide a consultation for patients by going over medical history, assessing the feet/legs and then reviewing the treatment options available, and if needed, provide referrals to other care providers. No hands-on treatments are included in an assessment.

  The application of a bracing system for curved and involuted toenails that helps correct and eliminate pain and discomfort.
- Nail Reconstruction

  The high and medium viscosity nail repair gel is a photopolymerizable resin allowing to create easily a highly elastic coating on the nail that adapts perfectly to the natural nail.
  
  For the treatment of fragile and brittle nails, reconstruction of diseased nails, as well as to fix artificial nails (tongues). The self-adhesive, no-tack, adhesive, GEHWOL nail repair gel can be applied with the tip of the tube hygienically and dosed with great precision.
  
  GEHWOL's nail repair gel only cures in the presence of an ultraviolet lamp. Thanks to the antimycotic substances of its formula, GEHWOL nail repair gel protects against the appearance of new mycoses.
- Veterans Affairs Patient - clinic visit

  Foot care for individuals with Veterans Affairs. A valid K# is required and the clinic will bill directly for foot care services provided.
- Wound Care / Dressing Change - in clinic

- Fungal Nail Test and Consultation

  A specimen is collected and tested for fungus with the results provided within 10 - 15 minutes.
  Once the results are received, there is a consultation with the nurse to review the treatment options available to you.
- Laser - Corn Removal

  Fungal nail treatment for patients on ONE foot only.

  Treatment
  Laser is applied approx. 2.5 minutes per nail (big toe), delivering approx. 500-700 joules with a second pass applied within a a few minutes (in total 1000-1400 joules are applied to the toenail). Small toes usually require approx. 100 joules per pass. The entire nail is treated, including the proximal area above the matrix.
  
  Intermediate cooling is applied, to allow a comfortable and fully tolerable treatment to the patient.
  
  Treatment is repeated once a month for 6 months.

- Laser Therapy for Spider Veins

  Telangiectasia are dilated small blood vessels, purple and red, found most commonly on the thighs or lower legs.
  Telangiectasia are different from Spider veins their visual appearance, common location and the way they fill up after applying surface pressure. (Spider veins blanch with pressure, and refill again from the centre outwards).
  During a typical coagulation treatment, laser radiation will absorb within the vessel resulting in visible color change – from red to light gray (for capillaries) or from blue to dark grey (small veins) ; these will indicate that a proper coagulation was performed.

  Treatment
  Continuous laser wave typically 10-12 watt and 3000 – 4000 joules, delivered through 15-20 min treatment.
  Defocused beam (approx. 4-5 cm) is applied to specific points, targeting the inflammation (and pain) source. The laser is set to HPLT program, that delivers maximum continuous laser power for several minutes.
  Treatment is 4 weekly sessions.

  Mosaic Warts Treatment
  Coagulation is a non-ablative treatment, achieved by applying focused laser radiation, which dries the wart by coagulating its capillaries; laser radiation eradicates the Papilloma virus, since IR laser radiation causes intense heat at the sub dermis level.
